Ah, summer vacation.....

Well you may have started to wonder where I went (or maybe you didn't).
You know you've let your blog go when even your own mother gives you shit for not blogging.
My excuse: ah, it's summer vacation and I have been extremely lazy.
I can't even claim that I didn't have the time because my kids have been awesome with sleeping in, etc.
And I have taken full advantage of that.
So here is my attempt to "catch up".....

Celebrated Canada Day by waiting for a hour for cold pancakes!

Went to visit Grandma Elain at the gravel pit.

Saw a crazy amount of rain.  This is someone's yard.

Joely at 2 months old.

Celebrated Harper's 3rd birthday with a mermaid themed party.

Went camping again for August long weekend.

Did some geocaching, which has become my new favorite hobby.

Made some saskatoon jelly.

Went to Calaway Park.  Which was so much fun and affordable.
Especially since we camped again and we bought our tickets at over 50% off when we booked the camp site.

Taking a lunch break at Calaway.

Road lots of rides, played some games, won the required amount of stuffies for the girls.
What is it with girls and stuffed animals!

Lexie was so brave and went on so many rides!

Went to the overpriced Calgary Zoo.

Decided to take a little "trip" to Banff for supper.

And after all the excitment promptly passed out in the van.

England Pictures Part 2

We were at Warwick Castle for a Rotary Event.
They pulled out all the stops for the Rotarians.
Like they shot that big fireball into the air in the above video.
It was a really awesome castle.
We were there in the evening so the light was amazing.

They had a peacock garden!

It is so unbelievably lush in England.
I couldn't stand myself.
Everywhere you look takes your breath away.
Could you imagine looking out on that everyday?!

This is the thing that shot the fireball into the air.

That is not a fake bird sitting up there.  That's real!  We saw it land.
I think that bird could pick up a small child and carry it away!

This one is for my friend Crystal.
The guy holding up his helmet totally looks like Dale!
I kept thinking that as he was riding around.
So, here is your husband in a period costume, fighting for your love!!! LOL!

Well, it wouldn't be England if there wasn't a little bit of jousting going on.

England Pictures Part 1

I finally have the pictures off of Brad's computer for when we went to England.
That was nearly 2 years ago!
I figured I would start with the pictures of signs that I took.
It became like a little mission of mine to see what "funny" signs I could find.
I just love the way they say certain things.
Hope you enjoy or at least get a little chuckle from them.
I promise there will be more scenic photos after this!

This one above made me laugh for awhile.

And I found this one especially funny after I had a few pints!

I love how the dump behind the dog is steaming!

This is what the little signs say when you lock the washroom.

Can you guess?  I'm sure you can!

Thanksgiving Vacation

We went on a Thanksgiving vacation to visit friends who have moved to B.C.
We had a blast playing games, visiting and the girls got to ride a pony named Snickers.
Now what could be better than that.

And look at that scenery.  It takes your breath away.  Definitely clean country air.  But you wouldn't catch me walking in those fields with the bears and cougars that I swear must be everywhere.  I personally think that it's cougar heaven there and I just know that they're hiding in those hills.  Waiting.  It freaks me out a bit, as you can probably tell!

Thanks Crystal, Dale, Breanna and Darby!
