So my friend Heather told me about a great book that she was reading and I thought I would give it a quick look. I've read 4 chapters so far and it is really interesting. Each month the author focuses on one area of her life to make it better. One area is decluttering her house, which I found to be quite inspiring because I am also trying to do this. The biggest idea or tip that I have found the most useful is: when you look at something that needs to be done, will it take you less than a minute to finish or put away. If it does, then do the work. You would be surprised at how much gets done when you have that mindset. All that little stuff starts to disappear because it has been dealt with. I told Brad about it and now I have him doing it too! It's like a light bulb went on for both of us. Who knew that such a simple idea could accomplish so much?!
So if you are looking for a book to inspire you then go and pick this one up.
The only complaint that I would have about this book is that the author adds in a lot of quotes and tidbits of information that are probably not necessary. The most interesting parts are when she talks about herself, husband and family and her writing is better when she sticks to that.
