Sorry about the lack of posting but it seems to be a mad house around here lately.
Harper is being a "joyous" 2 year old. Not!
And the fact that I'm now about 32 weeks prego is making it hard to have enough energy for anything.
But I have been slowly working and have managed to get a few more places in my house organized.
The biggest thing so far is that I have been able to keep up on the spots I've finished, instead of letting them go back to a total mess. This is huge for me, so I am quite proud of myself.
Sideboard in the living room can quickly become a dumping ground.
The middle cupboard. Disorganized games, etc. There is also 6 drawers in this sideboard.
They were all cleaned but I didn't think you really wanted to see pictures of that.
After the clean! And it has stayed that way for a couple of weeks already.
Middle cupboard. Organized games and got rid of non-essentials.
Toy area before. It makes me shutter!
After the clean.
All the bins are labelled and I even managed to take the "baby toys" out of storage and add them to the rest of the toys. I moved the barbies, ponies and babies upstairs into the girl's room. I figured that the little pieces were better to be upstairs.
The dress up area.
I picked up the bins at Canadian Tire for $40. All the dress up stuff is together now.
The kids love it and play all the time in the toy area now.
I try to make sure that it gets picked up every night so that there is a fresh start in the morning.
I ended up with 3 bags for donation and 1 for garbage.
Some of the donation stuff is going to Grandma's house. I find this to be a good idea too because then Grandma doesn't have to go and buy "special" or more toys for her house. Spread the toys around!
My grand total of bags now stands at:
6 for donation or garage sale
4 for garbage
