Sweet Deal

So on the weekend I scored a sweet deal.  All thanks to a friend who phoned and pretty much said, "get your ass to Superstore!"

This is what I scored:

Now the day before I had gotten an email from Toys R' Us that they were having these on sale for $49.99 down from $69.99.  I thought, "that's not bad."  But I have most of the girl's Christmas shopping done and didn't want to spend that kind of money on another toy.  Thinking that I should wait until Lexie's birthday.

So back to the weekend.  I get the call that the Leapster 2 is on sale for $19.99 and that there is about 12 or so left.  Better get there quick because that is not going last, I'm thinking to myself.  So I speed over to the store and grab 2 because they also come with a game each.  And the games are not the cheapest thing either.  So I end up with 2 Leapsters and 2 games for $40.  Sweet deal.

Now if I had been the smart mommy I would have hid them and saved them.  But the girls knew I was running to the store quick because of a toy.  I also figured that it may be something good for Lexie to have on the plane.  They ended up getting the Leapsters but I also got them to give away a garbage bag of toys in exchange.  New toys come in, old toys go out.  I think that is a sweet deal too!
